About the Test

This test can help you identify individuals that have prior experience with React and its various Hooks and who know how to properly utilize your React-based codebase.

Hooks are the new feature introduced in the React 16.8 version. It allows you to use state and other React features without writing a class. Hooks are the functions that “hook into” React state and lifecycle features from function components. It does not work inside classes. Hooks are backward-compatible, which means it does not contain any breaking changes. Also, it does not replace your knowledge of React concepts. The React Hooks test looks at the candidate’s understanding and abilities in Functional Programming, React Lifecycle, State Management, and Global Data Stores in a React-based Codebase. This exam measures an individual’s ability to put in place best practices in React and its Hooks. These individuals can assist you to develop a large-scale and well-maintained React codebase with a well-optimized product lifecycle and its local and global states.

1

React DOM

React DOM is the abbreviation for React Document Object Model. It is a library that is used to interact with the DOM (Document Object Model) in a web page. The DOM is a tree-like structure that represents the structure of a web page and React DOM allows developers to manipulate the DOM in order to update the content and appearance of a web page.

2

React prop

React prop is short for property. In Reactjs, props are used to pass data from a parent component to a child component. Props are essentially the input parameters for a React component.

3

React AJAX

React AJAX stands for Asynchronous JavaScript and XML. It is a technique for making HTTP requests from a web page asynchronously, without disrupting the rest of the page. React AJAX can be used to fetch data from a server and update a React component without requiring a full page refresh.

4

Reacthooks

React Hooks are a feature introduced in Reactjs 16.8 that allow developers to use state and other React features without writing a class component. Hooks are a way to manage state and other features in a functional component, and they can be used to make React code more concise and easier to understand.

The test is created by a subject-matter expert

Testlify’s skill tests are designed by experienced SMEs (subject matter experts). We evaluate these experts based on specific metrics such as expertise, capability, and their market reputation. Prior to being published, each skill test is peer-reviewed by other experts and then calibrated based on insights derived from a significant number of test-takers who are well-versed in that skill area. Our inherent feedback systems and built-in algorithms enable our SMEs to refine our tests continually.
