Understanding and using basic verb tenses to talk about present, past, and future actions. At the A1 level, this includes recognizing and forming regular and common irregular verbs in the present tense, and being introduced to simple past and near future constructions.

Reading

Reading is the ability to understand written language. In the context of learning Spanish at the A1 level, this would involve being able to recognize and understand basic words and phrases in written Spanish.

Listening

Listening is the ability to understand spoken language. In the context of learning Spanish at the A1 level, this would involve being able to recognize and understand basic words and phrases when they are spoken by a native speaker of Spanish.

Use of the Spanish (Basic/A1) Test

Employees who can speak Spanish and hold the conversation for around five minutes in a time range that can be based on their vocabulary and writing proficiency.

A DELE A1 and A2 level test evaluates applicants in the areas of vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening, and comprehension of the Spanish material that is of a basic level to converse and have an introductory dialogue. They are expected to know grammar, Present Tense verb conjugations, listen plus comprehend short advertisements and notices, focus on day-to-day life events and occurrences of the routine, and basic information about themselves and their families, shopping, places of interest, work, etc. They should be able to communicate using the language in a basic way in situations with immediate needs or everyday situations.
