About the Test

Mechatronics tests assess a candidate’s mathematical & analytical abilities, knowledge of the fundamentals of machinery, its operational technology, and the science behind electronic systems & devices.

Mechatronics tests gauge the applicants understanding of Machine Fundamentals, Electronic systems & devices, Mathematical & Analytical Methods, and System Power & Accuracy by questioning them on fundamental theoretical knowledge and practical application capability. It assesses their attention to detail concerning machinery and electronic systems and their ability to understand given technical data to solve problems and make changes in the big picture.

Candidates with a good aptitude for mechatronics should possess specific skills. These include: integrating technologies from the electronic, IT, and mechanical sectors for optimizing existing industrial processes, testing existing machinery for bugs and issues, performing root cause analysis to identify areas of improvement, and creating a plan to implement the advancements. They should have adequate skills to analyze the problems in the industry and develop new systemic solutions that are economical.

Applicants who pass this test are well-versed in basic and advanced technical terms, formulas, and methodologies suitable for solving a technical issue involving any machinery or electronic device. The objective questions test their root understanding of the concepts through simple but effective problems.

Knowledge of the mechanical & electrical machine components, their operations, the technology involved, and the activities that should be carried out for efficient working and maintenance are a must for any mechatronics engineer. Mechatronics combines technology from various fields to create intelligent systems that solve industry problems and provide automated solutions. Candidates are queried on the power and accuracy of such systems and are asked to calculate parameters for different use case scenarios.
