About the Test

Three-digit math skills help individuals from different companies complete their day-to-day tasks faster and more efficiently. The ability to solve simple math problems is essential for many professions, such as dimensional calculations, task timing management, and planning.

Candidates need to acquire basic arithmetic skills, including solving equations containing three-digit integers. This preliminary three-digit math exam assesses the candidate’s ability to solve math problems such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and time calculations. It is the closest number (including fractions). Evaluate your ability to understand the relationships.

Candidates who pass this test have a solid understanding of basic math and can quickly and accurately solve fundamental math problems. This screening exam is beneficial for manufacturing and industrial jobs requiring basic math skills without needing advanced thinking or problem-solving.

1

Percentage

In basic triple-digit math, “percentage” refers to expressing a number as a fraction of 100. For example, if you have a number such as 25, you can tell it as a percentage by dividing it by 100 and multiplying the result by 100%. This would give you 25%, representing 25 out of 100, or 1/4. In basic triple-digit math, percentages are often used to compare numbers or to express a number as a proportion of a whole. For example, if you have two numbers, 25 and 50, you can tell them as percentages to compare their relative sizes. In this case, 25 would be 25%, and 50 would be 50%, so you can see that the second number is twice as large as the first.

2

Area

In basic triple-digit math, “area” refers to measuring the size of a two-dimensional shape, such as a rectangle or square. In other words, it is the amount of space a body occupies on a flat surface. To find the area of a shape, you need to multiply its length by its width. For example, if you have a three units length and four units wide rectangle, its area would be 3 x 4 = 12 square units. In basic triple-digit math, it is essential to understand the concept of area, as it is used in various calculations and problem-solving scenarios.

3

Simple Arithmetic

In basic triple-digit math, simple arithmetic refers to the fundamental mathematical operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. These operations are used to solve real math problems involving numbers. For example, if you are given the problem 2 + 3 =? You would use the addition process to find the answer, which is 5. Similarly, if you are given the problem 8 – 5 =? You would use the subtraction operation to find the answer, which is 3. In basic triple-digit math, students typically learn to perform simple arithmetic operations with whole numbers and decimals. Understanding and being able to perform these operations is essential for success in higher-level math courses.

4

Time

In basic triple-digit math, “time” refers to measuring the duration of an event or the interval between two events. Time is typically measured in units such as seconds, minutes, and hours. In basic triple-digit math, students may learn to perform basic operations with time, such as adding and subtracting time intervals or converting between different time units. For example, if you are given two-time intervals, such as 1 hour and 30 minutes, you can add them together to find the total duration of the event. In this case, the real-time would be 1 hour + 30 minutes = 1 hour 30 minutes. Understanding the concept of time is essential in many real-world situations, such as scheduling appointments or planning events.

The test is created by a subject-matter expert

Testlify’s skill tests are designed by experienced SMEs (subject matter experts). We evaluate these experts based on specific metrics such as expertise, capability, and their market reputation. Prior to being published, each skill test is peer-reviewed by other experts and then calibrated based on insights derived from a significant number of test-takers who are well-versed in that skill area. Our inherent feedback systems and built-in algorithms enable our SMEs to refine our tests continually.
