In 2022 Gary Benedik, president of Arch Advisory Group, realized that there was an urgent need to find a better way to assess and evaluate candidates at scale.
At the time, he and his team followed the following process:
Screening interviews and resumes assisted recruiters in identifying highly suitable candidates, but he realized there was a need to evaluate the candidate’s real-world skills better.
What problems were they facing?
Arch Advisory Group screened and processed numerous candidates, upwards of 80+ every month, for mid to senior-level roles across a plethora of industries.
This meant interviewing and assessing numerous resumes and subjectively comparing each candidate based on what Arch’s end-client needed.
The challenge was to find the best people for their clients. Not only to interview potential candidates, but to validate the skills they had on the resume/CV were, in fact, accurate.
But how could they tell if a candidate had the necessary technical skills to fill a high-tech role?
The more technical the role, the more complex the field, and it was harder to know if they had the technical skills for a job role.
Gary sought a more reliable method of evaluating candidates and comparing their skills.
Gary started using Testlify after he signed up for a free trial. He explored the platform and soon decided to use it in his recruitment process.

Once a candidate was approved, they were sent a Testlify assessment to complete.
The results of those assessments were then handed over to the hiring manager with the candidate’s resume and any other information.
